In the process of IBPS Po recruitment, prelims is the first stage that was conducted online only. The candidates have to pass the IBPS PO Prelim Exam in order to get appear for IBPS Main exam. There were total 100 objective questions comprises of Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude and English Language. The total marks for IBPS prelim exam was 100 marks.
To qualify for the next stage of selection, candidates have to attain the minimum qualifying marks. The minimum qualifying marks is known as cut off marks. For each section, the cut off will be decide separately and each candidates has to achieve the cut off for each section in order to appear for the IBPS Main Exam. In addition to sectional cut off, candidates also have another milestone to achieve which is total cut off marks. So, candidates have to achieve sectional cut off along with total cut off marks to participate in the further process of selection. Both the cut off is decided by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. However, for every category cut off marks is different like cut off for General Category will be different from cut off for Reserved Category. The total marks will be calculated on the basis of marks obtained in Quantitative Aptitude (out of 35 marks) Reasoning (out of 35 marks) + English Language (out of 30 marks)
